Transportation Driver

Coordinate and schedule resident appointments with local health care providers.
Prepares residents to leave facility, ensuring proper personal cleanliness, weather appropriate clothing, etc.
Transport residents to and from scheduled appointments and approved locations in a safe and responsible manner.
Accompany residents to appointments, ensuring residents get in and out of the vehicle safely, remain with the resident and assist with handling the resident during the appointment.

Be of 21 years of age
Be able to read and follow written direction
Be able to communicate with residents and co-workers in English
Hold a current, valid drivers license
Possess less than 15 points on their Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Hold current personal automobile insurance
Have the physical ability and stature to lift and transfer residents into and out of vehicles for transportation purposes
Be able to receive, understand and pass on to nurses detailed instructions relating to the resident he/she has received from hospitals, physicians, nurses, dentists, public aid employees, etc.
